The market is saturated with this rich, luxe fabric at affordable price points. You name an item, and it comes in velvet this season. Track pants, body suit, blazer, bralet? Yep, there's even a velvet version of that.

Lets start off by looking at a few velvet blazers.

This one is from Massimo Dutti and is £139. I love the rich colour which is a nice change from black.

Also available in black and this luxurious purple.

Or if you prefer something a bit more funky, this is a great jacket from Zara.

Velvet mustard jacket with belt, £89.99

And the trousers to go with them are £59.99

Or this beautiful, ornate jacket from Zara. Fabulous even just with jeans.

Embroidered velvet jacket, £59.99. It looks so much more expensive than that!

Wallis has this wonderful jacket in red, currently reduced from £60 to £48

Boden has some great velvet items this season.

This lovely jacket is available in black, burgundy or navy, Velvet Emilia Blazer, £129

So lets move on to trousers. Velvet trousers could be worn as a suit with a matching jacket to really dress up for a party.

Boden has matching trousers for the above jacket, available again in black, burgundy and navy

Or these lovely wide leg trousers, £99.50, also from Boden

Or M&S has some great cropped wide leg trousers, £55

Also from M&S, and in two gorgeous colours are these

Back to Zara, the Velvet Flare Trousers are fun, and at £29.99 will certainly not break the bank.

I like this one from Anthropologie, Ellis velvet skirt, £98

This one is grey,

but it is also available in pink

Or M&S, has a pleated skirt in black velvet, £29.50

Or you may just want a pretty velvet top. Here are a few that I liked

I love this cute cami top from Topshop, Velvet Swing Ochre cami top, £

Also available in pink

Or this Purple Velvet Camisole top, Wallis, was £25 now £17.50

Or from Anthropologie, the Frida Velvet off the shoulder top, in purple, £78

Or also from Anthropologie, Japonica velvet wrap blouse, £128

Or why not go the whole hog and get a fabulous velvet dress, or even a jumpsuit! Have a look at these.

From Anthropologie again, The Harmony Velvet T shirt dress, £158. Easy to wear both for casual and smart.

Or again, Anthropologie ( such fabulous things there!) The Talya velvet dress, £178. I love the colour!

Boden, has a good range of velvet, and I particularty like this dress and the blue is gorgeous.

Or for a stylish black velvet jumpsuit, Mango has this at £69.99

Topshop has this, Velvet Crinkle Jumpsuit, £39, which is also available in navy and black

Or this from Selfridges, it is a lot more expensive (yes probably too expensive), but what a gorgeous colour. Saloni jumpsuit, £575

As always, if I can be of any help, I am only a phone call away.

Enjoy

Jo
